Holeb Pond is a remote body of water deep in the woods of Northwestern Maine. The surrounding Moose River Valley offers up all kinds of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in a pristine and natural environment. Why did we name our company after an otherwise non-descript pond? That's easy.

The inspiration behind one of our products (the Holeb Bushman) came about during a grouse hunting trip in the Holeb Pond area in 2005. On this particular trip, one of our founders and a friend found themselves a bit off the mark when when trying to exit the woods onto a logging road. Since this particular logging road was over 20 miles from Route 201, thoughts about how they would spend the night in the woods and build a shelter and fire with nothing but a pocket knife naturally arose. With the design of the Holeb Bushman, Holeb Outdoors was born.
